Bio

Elizabeth has over 13 years of occupational health, safety and environmental experience. Her career started in the U.S. Coast Guard where she was a lead facility inspector and pollution response investigator. During her military career, she responded to events such as vessel grounding, oil pipeline ruptures, earthquakes, tsunamis, and a myriad of other events. At the end of her enlistment, she transitioned over to the state government and worked for the prison system as the Agency Risk Manager. Her experience grew as she oversaw the safety programs for both the offender and employee populations for the entire state. The exposure to a variety of safety issues was intensive and in a condensed timeframe. Issues included, but not limited to, workplace violence, offender aggression, workers compensation claims and malpractice, working from heights injuries, agricultural and confined space injuries, and fatalities. Elizabeth has since moved into consulting for a variety of clients on safety and environmental needs.
