In occupational health and safety, health promotion focuses on the prevention and intervention that reduce the health risk factors of the employees in a company or organization. Health promotion can also be referred to as workplace health promotion and worksite health promotion.

Health promotion is regarded to influence on physical, mental, economic, and social well-being of a group of individuals; and offers an ideal infrastructure to support health promotion on a large audience.
