What Does Environmental Factor Mean?

Environmental factors in the workplace include both physical and psychosocial aspects of the job site that workers are routinely exposed to in performing their job duties. This can include physical aspects such as the glare of a computer screen, vibrations from machinery, or the layout of a work station. Psychosocial aspects can include coping mechanisms and the relationships between workers.

Environmental factors can also include psychosocial aspects such as the relationships between coworkers at a job site, the relationships with the management team at a job site, and coping methods used at a job site. All of these factors can have an impact on the physical and mental well-being of the workers.
