Definition - What does symptoms surveys mean?

Symptoms surveys are lists of questions given to employees to access whether or not they have sustained workplace injuries, in as far as they are experiencing pain, discomfort, or disability as a direct result of the work they have performed. They also seek to pinpoint in what part of their body the employee is specifically experiencing pain. These are sometimes referred to as an employee health survey.

SureHire explains symptoms surveys

Symptoms surveys are medical questionnaires that deal specifically with workplace injury. These surveys determine if an injury has been sustained in the workplace, what part of an employee's body has been affected - such as a shoulder or back injury, when during the course of the employee's tasks the pain or discomfort from the injury is experienced at which levels of severity, how much this injury affects the employee's ability to function in the workplace, and how much the employee's life outside of the workplace has been affected by the injury.
