What Does Wellness and Health Promotion Program Mean?
A wellness and health promotion program is the complete collection of health, safety, and wellness promotion activities of a particular employer. A wellness and health promotion program will employ a variety of resources to improve overall health and safety among the employer’s workforce at all organizational levels. Some features included in a wellness and health promotion program are health education, a supportive work environment, health programs that are well integrated into the business, health screening programs, and connections to other health programs within the company. A wellness and health promotion program may also be referred to as a workplace health promotion program or a comprehensive worksite wellness and health promotion program.
