WorkplaceTesting Explains Health Enhancement Research Organization Scorecard
The Health Enhancement Research Organization Scorecard (HERO Scorecard) was developed by members of HERO, a member driven non-profit organization. Through a collaborative effort HERO members and participants prepared a list of best practices to assist employers in ensuring that their workplace is a healthful environment for employees. Using the HERO Scorecard, employers can evaluate how their efforts compare to those of other employers and national best practices. Employers can evaluate their HERO score by completing an online survey that asks them various questions about their workplace health and wellness practices. HERO Scorecard questions cover such topics and the workforce's demographic composition, an employer's planning and preparedness activities, the culture of the workplace with regard to health and safety awareness, and the employer's current health and wellness programs.
By using the HERO Scorecard, an employer can identify strengths and weakness in its health and wellness programming.
