Mobility is a term used to describe something's ability to move or be moved. When assessing an individual's physical capabilities, mobility refers to his or her ability to move in a given environment. SureHire explains mobility

Mobility is one of the factors that is considered when an employee is evaluated to determine if they can perform a job's necessary tasks. Some jobs requires a minimum level of mobility to be performed safely. Physical abilities testing of a worker can help determine whether he or she will be able to perform a job effectively and without injury. An assessment of mobility does not just test someone's ability to walk or climb. Instead, most assessments will ask the test subject to demonstrate a full range of motions including kneeling, crouching, sitting, crawling and balancing. In some instances, mobility testing may also evaluate whether an individual has sufficient mobility to be able to operate machinery such as a forklift. By comparing a employee's physical abilities against the physical demands of the specific job, a better match between employee and job can be made.
