Definition - What does endurance mean?

Endurance measures aerobic capacity in terms of the heart and lungs working together to generate and distribute oxygenated blood to active muscle groups during exercise or any strenuous performance.

SureHire explains endurance

Endurance relates to a dynamic process of testing the physiological limitations of the human body without overexertion or fatigue. The synergy of the heart and lungs works to produce oxygenated blood, which is conveyed to different muscle groups during intense physical activity. The rich minerals and nutrients contained in blood serves to energize targeted muscle groups and generate motor movement. Endurance changes based on independent variables, such as frequency, duration, and resistance. The human body operates as a self-regulating machine; meaning that it adapts itself to the level of exercise or training being demanded from it.
